What are the best beaches on Kauai?

We are planning a family reunion next summer and have children 12 through 22, they like to surf, boogie board, snorkel. We have looked at places on Anahola, Anina but are wondering if we should look at Poipu for lots of things to do like live music, etc. We are asking for advice from people who know Kauai - thanks!
