92 Chevy 350 throttle body?

replaced the rotor, rotor cap, and spark plug wires very carefully (i thought) now it turns over but does not start ! is the firing order the same on all 350's ? also the old rotor cap had a LOT of buildup on the points inside. will the motor always stop at TDC ? is there such a thing as vapor lock ?
