You could just leave them long. The puddled look is in! Otherwise I don't think I would cut them. It would be very difficult to do this evenly. A couple of suggestions: You can hang the rod as high (close to the ceiling) as possible for a much grander look. You can also try an iron-on hem. It is just a tape that you can buy at a sewing store. Use the iron along with the tape and you'll have an instant hem without the sewing. You could also tie them back or put a tie around the center and puff them up which would make them shorter. Have fun with it!
