How to clone marijuana? For dummies?

So I have began to clone some of our plants to prolong their breed. Unfortunately, I must be challenged at this because after 15 minutes of transporting the clones into their tray with their cloning gel, they are limp and drooping. By the next day, they will look like they are on the verge of death. Now, I have tried to read these forums you weed-genius' post, but I do NOT understand pH and ml or anything else of that nature. I do understand cut the stem at a 45 degree angel. I have seen people say to trim the edge as well, does this mean strip it? As if it were a wire? If there was a "Cloning for Dummies" based on marijuana, life would be so simple. As I sit here frustrated, reading everyone's questions being answered with these technical responses, I sit in aw, wishing I could understand. What I need, is a basic breakdown of what I need to do from the beginning, and what Im doing wrong. I need tips on how to bring these little fellas back up to their beautiful green perky selves. I have 5 more plants to start cloning but I dont want to start before I know what will do the trick. I dont want to bring these little babies into a cold, dead world. I do have a light above them, dont ask what kind. It was provided to me and I have no clue. My room stays pretty warm and I keep them moist. What needs to be done here? I am looking into a heating pad but for the revival, I dont know what to do. Please help, any information is appreciated.
