Rota virus Vaccination?

One of my friend's pediatrician told her to give her daughter rota virus vaccination which is basically precaution against diarrhea which is common in infants six month onwards. According to him, its given to babies when they are 4 and half month old.Since this is very new vaccination my pediatric had no knowledge about it. My daughter will turn 6months next week.. what should i do? has anybody given it to their babies? all mummies please advise!!
