Yahoo Messenger doesn't let me use Segoe UI as a typing font, is there a fix for this?

Yahoo Messenger shows me and lets me select Segoe UI as a font to type with but when opening a chat window it uses Segoe UI Light instead and doesn't show the simple Segoe UI in the font list. Any ideas or solutions?
