If we install pergot instead of real hardwood flooring will it change the resale value of our house?

Hardwood floors are such a b**** to install (and stain and seal and everything else), and laminates are so much easier, not to mention cheaper, but are they worth it? I know they have some now that look real (we have an old thirties craftsman-ish style house) which is important since I don't want the floors to look out of place for the craftsman style - dark, rich, real wood...EVERYWHERE, are there really good alternatives, will it mess with the resale value? I have heard that hardwood is much more valuable and I have heard it doesn't make a lick of difference. Plus, I would want it to be really hard to tell, since everything else in out house is real wood and when you can tell, I think laminate looks really tacky. Do they sell, laminate-style snap togrether pieces in real wood? Would that look good? Is it less expensive? Are there good ways to save money on this project without sacrificing style and durability? Any ideas?
